Susan Coll-Guedes

Susan Coll-Guedes, M.Ed. is a teacher, artist and advocate. Her approach to teaching visual arts is to lead students through the process of artmaking as collaborator, facilitator and encourager. Her mission is to inspire student artists of all abilities to find their own unique voice.

Influenced by Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB) and Artist Habits of Mind, the elements of art and principles of design are explored through drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, fiber arts, photography and digital media. Students are encouraged to engage, observe, explore, express, and envision art while interacting with materials, ideas and each other.

Her personal work is in private collection and collaborative work with Michael Guedes is on public display at Peace Lutheran Church in Galloway, New Jersey and the Tuckerton Seaport in Tuckerton, New Jersey.
