Ilana has been working in the local arts and culture industry since 1982 when she began as an assistant to Helen Drutt of the Helen Drutt Gallery in Philadelphia, PA. She has been working in development since 1989, when she began as Assistant Development Director at the Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining Moore, she served as Major Gifts Officer for four years at the National Museum of American Jewish History where she helped to raise over 7 million dollars in annual gifts and pledges. From 1995 to 2013, she worked with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and two of its constituent agencies, JEVS and JFCS, to oversee the Federation Endowment Corporation’s Foundation Forum, JEVS’ 6 million dollar capital campaign to rebuild Orleans Technical Institute and JFCS’ Major Gifts Program. Ilana co-founded the Schmidt/Dean Gallery in 1988 upon completing her MS in Arts Administration from Drexel University.
Ilana is an active member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Commission for Jewish Life and Learning, a member of the board of Jewish National Fund, Greater Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey and a member of the board of Golden Slipper Club and Charities.
