Spring 2017 Honors Convocation Acknowledges Leaders, Academics and Creativity

President Cecelia Fitzgibbon presided at the 2017 Honors Convocation Friday, April 7, in Stewart Auditorium. The ceremony is held to acknowledge students who have achieved the Dean's List, and for the presentation of the Fellowship Awards.

Shiloh Lenz was named the 2017 valedictorian.

Leadership award winners were: Alexandria Robinson, Happy Fernandez Women's Leadership Fellowship; Morgan Prince, The Frieda Fehrenbacher Women's Leadership Fellowship; Elizabeth Griffin, The Sis Grenald Women's Leadership Award; and Justyne Kosinski, Tiffany & Co. Leadership Fellowship.

The Penny Fox Internship Fellowship was given to Gabrielle Wharton, Ashley Herman, Dominique 'Jeri' EvansNicole Henry and Alice Wang.

Travel Fellowship Awards were presented to Abigail Dangler, Sarah Peter Travel Fellowship; Alexandria Robinson, Sis Grenald International Travel Fellowship; and Sarah Tropio, Harriet Sartain Travel Fellowship.

The First Place winner of the Emerging Entrepreneur's Business Plan competition was Savannah Hudicka. Runner-up was Shahada Mouzon.

Winners of the Frieda Fehrenbacher Foundation Award were Steph Weinger, first place, and Jennifer Tran, second place.

The Miriam Troop Portrait Award first place went to Steph Weinger, second place to Maya Smith.

Virginia Pollock won the Catherine Finn Storey '81 Memorial Scholarship.

The Charming Shoppes Scholarship for Fashion Design went to Verity Gordon and Amanda Kiesel.

Morgan Prince won the Fanny Brennan Scholarship for Excellence in Painting.

Emma Herrmann, Demary Beltran and Abigail Dangler were given the International Sculpture Center Membership Award.

Karly Caufield, Brittany Snyder and Em Jensen were given the Philadelphia Sculpture Center Membership Award.

Amity Tanner won the Sis Grenald Scholarship. Tracy Diggs was given the Fashion Group International/Libby Haynes Hyman Scholarship. Logan Cryer won the Harriet Glashofer Jolles Memorial Prize in Fine Arts. Kayli Ziolkowski won the Haas Award for Art Education.

Shiloh Lenz took third place in the Roosevelt Paper Calendar Competition 2016.
