Moore senior Kelicia “Kandy” Pitts ’16, is a Curatorial Studies major with a dual minor in Business and Fine Art Media. She is also a fine art model who inspired a new sculpture at Chestnut Hill’s Woodmere Art Museum. Her image is being formed by sculptor Christopher Smith. The bronze Sankofa Kore sculpture will be mounted outside in the museum's garden grounds on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10 am.

“Being a fine art model is fulfilling and completes an expressive side of me that has been recognized in a powerful way that I am overjoyed by,” Pitts said. “Having the sculpture be a fixed piece at a museum is very important. I’m so happy that Christopher Smith chose me for it.”
