WALTER ROBINSON: PAINTINGS AND OTHER INDULGENCES

Walter Robinson: Paintings and Other Indulgences is the first major survey of the work of the prolific New York-based artist Walter Robinson.  Widely recognized for creating some of the most provocative and influential work of the Pictures Generation, as well as his work as a writer and critic, Robinson’s works explore painting’s relationship with mass-culture images of desire and address our indulgences of longing and excess in a media-saturated world.

HOLLY ZAUSNER: 10TH AVENUE 10011

Through an audacious blending of drawing, sculpture, performance and photography, New York and Berlin-based artist Holly Zausner creates mesmerizing visual dialogues between the artist, the city and architecture. 10th Avenue 10011 features a series of six large-scale photographs that explore temporality and permanence, stasis and movement, and demonstrate Zausner’s ability to transform the physicality of performance into a form of drawing.

SALLY HELLER: ORANGE ALERT

A site-specific installation by New Orleans-based artist Sally Heller, who creates recognizable yet improbable landscapes constructed from cultural detritus.  A modern-day bricoleur, savvy cultural hacker and urban archaeologist, Heller assembles a litany of mundane materials and cultural castoffs into recognizable yet improbable environments that cleverly fuse macro and micro, architectural and organic, artifice and nature.

HAWK KRALL: THE NEW PHILADELPHIA

January 23 – March 12, 2016
Featuring recent works by Philadephia-based artist Hawk Krall, this exhibition probes the grittier side of Philadelphia through imaginative street scenes and vaguely futuristic illustrations celebrating the intersection of old and new in an ever-changing city.
