RUTH ROBBINS, DEAN OF STUDENTS
Ruth started at Moore in 2000 as the Assistant Dean for Residence Life and Housing. She has been Dean of Students since July 2011. One of her principal roles is as an advocate for students, from chairing the Retention Committee—which looks at students’ evaluations of their Moore experience—to problem-solving with students that are experiencing personal and/or academic difficulties. As Dean, Ruth serves as the advisor to the Student Government at Moore. In addition, she oversees the Emerging Leaders in the Arts program, where over their four years at Moore students learn about leadership, teamwork and understanding themselves, volunteer in arts-related organizations, shadow professionals in the arts and, as seniors, form a support team as they launch themselves as young artists.
RUTH GAYLE, DIRECTOR OF COUNSELING SERVICES
Ruth has been at Moore for 18 years and, therefore, has a great deal of experience working with artists. She provides individual counseling for students on a wide range of issues from college adjustment problems to more complex personal difficulties. She also serves as a liaison with outside psychologists and psychiatrists, as needed.
DIANE AZUMA, RN, DIRECTOR OF STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES
Diane came to Moore in the Fall of 1998. She has extensive background as a nurse in women’s health issues. She provides nursing care to students on a one to one basis for a wide range of acute and chronic health issues. She is a health advocate and patient education provider at Moore. She serves as a liaison for students with outside health care providers, as needed.
JEANETTE WINTJEN, ASSISTANT TO THE DEAN OF STUDENTS & STUDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR
Jeanette started her position at Moore as Assistant to the Dean of Students in 2004 and added the title Student Services Coordinator in 2007. She has an art background with a BFA in drawing, painting and printmaking. At Moore, besides being the administrative assistant in Student Services, she is the principle staff member organizing and implementing Orientation & Commencement. She advises the Student Orientation Staff who welcome incoming students and help facilitate Orientation events, and works with the Director of Student Activities organizing community service projects for the Moore community.
EMILY JOHNSON, ASSISTANT DEAN OF STUDENTS
Emily manages rental events at Moore, working with outside organizations and individuals that want to rent the public spaces at the College. She also coordinates all community service events, including Alternative Spring Break, works with programs like Culture in the Classroom and Emerging Leaders in the Arts, and is in charge of the ID system and student run clubs. She has a background in the arts, having earned a BA in art history and taken numerous studio art and museum studies courses. She has been at Moore since the spring of 2006.
CORIENNE MYSLINSKI, DIRECTOR OF RESIDENCE LIFE
Corienne has a Masters Degree in Education from Ohio University. She oversees the two residence halls, Stahl and Sartain, and is the staff member in charge of the Residence Life Staff. She is one of the primary Student Services staff members on-call for crisis response situations involving residential students, and is the main staff member in charge of the student judicial system. Corienne started at Moore in June 2011.
