Residence life provides a convenient and collaborative environment were students from diverse majors, backgrounds and cultures can learn from one another and support each other as they advance through their college years.
Approximately 70 percent of first-year students live the College’s two residence halls—the Louise Zimmerman Stahl Residence Hall and Sartain Residence Hall. Suites in Stahl Hall accommodate four women who share two double rooms and an adjoining bathroom. In Sartain Hall, there are single rooms with a community bathroom on each floor. Additionally, there are many nearby residential neighborhoods surrounding the College, which some of our students choose to call home.
Resident Assistants and Resident Directors can be found in both halls. Knowledgeable about the College and its resources, these experienced upper-class women are trained to help with students' day-to-day concerns, manage emergencies and serve as links to the Student Services staff.
Students have a menu of options when it comes to eating on campus, including the outdoor Diamond Café, which is adjacent to Logan Fountain and overlooks Moore’s Sculpture Park and the Ben Franklin Parkway and the main dining hall, which serves three meals a day Monday through Friday and two meals daily on weekends. All resident students are required to register for the 19-meal plan.
