I first visited Philadelphia and fell in love with it. When I realized that there was this lovely little school within such a beautiful city, it was a done deal. Moore offered the kind of college experience that I was looking for: small class sizes, dedicated professors, scholarships and opportunities to travel.

I completed three internships while at Moore. My first was with Anthropologie, my second with Galbraith and Paul, and finally, I interned at The Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica, CA. More than anything, my internships helped me get used to a professional environment; they taught me how to network and be reliable!

At Moore, I loved that I knew pretty much every faculty, administrator and student in some way or another. There was always a listening ear, someone to give guidance, or just chat with! Moore is the type of school that will be whatever you make it. I really wanted to travel in college and, thanks to my international travel fellowship, was able to go to Ghana in the summer of 2010, where I helped teach elements of design and traditional batik techniques to women in the small African coastal village of Atorkor.

I am currently working as a clothing and product designer for Klim Technical Riding Gear; a company that designs, develops and manufactures gear for serious motorcycle and snowmobile riders who experience extreme conditions and environments. Now that I have moved away, I miss Philadelphia daily and hope to return in the near future. I would choose to live in Philly over NYC any day!
