The program is designed to be completed in seven semesters/27 months (Summer I, Fall I, Spring I, Summer II, Fall II, Spring II, Summer III) and must be completed within 51 months (4 years and 3 months). Candidates must complete 17 courses totaling 60 credit hours and must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Summer I: (6 weeks in July and August)
Independent Studio with Visiting Artists/Critics 6 credits
Studio Seminar 3 credits
Visual Culture and Contemporary Aesthetics 3 credits
Fall I: (15 weeks)
Teaching Assistantship/Teacher’s Preparation Seminar or Elective 3 credits
Graduate Tutorial 3 credits
Spring I: (15 weeks)
Teaching Assistantship/Teacher’s Preparation Seminar or Elective 3 credits
Graduate Tutorial 3 credits
Summer II: (Four weeks abroad, two weeks on campus at Moore in August)
International Graduate Residency with Visiting Artists/Critics in Burren, Ireland 6 credits
Art History at Burren: Time and Place 3 credits
Studio Seminar – 2 week intensive at Moore 3 credits
*Mid-program exhibition following residency at Moore
Fall II: (15 weeks)
