ID Cards
All students enrolled in a credit or non-credit class must have proper identification. During the first week of each semester, ALL Continuing Education students, who have not received an updated photo ID, (updated beginning Fall 2007 semester) will receive a new photo ID card that allows access to the main entrance and computer labs. Please arrive approximately 45 minutes early on the first night of class to receive your new ID. If you cannot attend the first night of classes, contact the Continuing Education department to make arrangements.
Materials Lists
Most classes provide book or materials lists during the first class.
Classroom Assignments
During the first week of class, a list of classrooms will be available in the lobby for all Continuing Education classes. Continuing Education staff will also be on hand to direct you to the appropriate classrooms.
Class Cancellations
If an instructor must cancel a class, you will be notified by phone and/or email as soon as possible. It is the instructor’s responsibility to provide a substitute teacher or reschedule a missed class. The College’s emergency closing number is 195 and is announced on KYW 1060. Alternatively, you can call Moore’s main telephone number 215-965-4000 for cancellation information. Please make a note of this in case of severe weather.
Tuition Refund Policy
Written notification is required for all withdrawals from a course, seminar, or workshop. Notification can be submitted to the Office of Continuing Education by mailing to the address listed above, faxed to the Office of Continuing Education at: (215) 965-4047 or emailed to ce@moore.edu.
Registration fees are non-refundable. All refunds are based on tuition only. Tuition refunds are calculated according to the following schedule:
- 100% refund before the first class
- 80% refund after the first week of class
- 50% refund after the second week of class
- Refunds are not issued after the third class
- Students should receive refunds within four to six weeks. Money cannot be credited to student accounts for use in future terms.
Act 48
Moore College of Art is an approved ACT48 provider. If you are taking your course for credit or hours, please be sure to notify us. Hours are issued upon request and successful completion of the required coursework.
Code of Conduct
Students registering for a Continuing Education course are expected to follow the Moore College of Art & Design Student Code of Conduct. Failure to adhere to these guidelines could result in disciplinary action. For a copy of the Code of Conduct, contact the Continuing Education department.
Parking/Directions
Moore College of Art does not operate parking facilities. There are meters in front of the College, along 20th Street and The Parkway at which you may park during your visit. There are also several public parking facilities within walking distance. For your convenience, several parking facilities are listed below. For additional information, please refer to the Philadelphia Parking Authority at www.philapark.org. Directions can also be accessed on our website at Directions to Moore.
