Art Education

Teaching is an opportunity to share your skills and passion and inspire the artists of tomorrow.

Taught by award-winning instructors, Moore’s Art Education Post-Baccalaureate program prepares students for a K-12 teaching certificate through classroom instruction, observational experiences in area schools and guided teaching in Moore’s Young Artists Workshop.

This program is geared toward individuals whose college degrees include at least 43.5 studio art credit hours and a 3.0 grade point average. Admitted students may begin the three-semester program in the fall term. Four of the courses are taught in the evening, two on Saturdays. Students are also required to complete 60 days of student teaching.

Upon successful completion of coursework, student teaching and Praxis exams, students may apply for Pennsylvania teaching certification accepted by Education Departments in 46 states.
