MA in Art Education with an Emphasis in Special Populations

• Design innovative, teaching strategies for exceptional students i.e. students with
  individualized education programs (IEPs) 
• Critically examine existing art education practices
• Explore adaptive technology
• Expand skills, resources and strategies to strengthen teaching and learning
• Professional field placement
• Annual symposium with regional and national experts in art and education

Low residency program for men and women
* 30 credits: 4 semesters or 15 months
2 six-week summer intensives
Evenings and one weekend per month September through May
Small class size

* Due to a new PA Dept of Education requirement for all teacher education programs to include coursework for English Language Learners, a 3 credit course entitled "Meeting the Needs of English Language Learners Through Art Education" has been added to the MA Art Education program. The program now totals 33 credits.
