Connelly Library
The Connelly Library supports the curriculum and goals of the Art Education Department with print and virtual resources. In recent years, the collection has been evaluated and enhanced to better assist students and faculty with assignments and research. The library subscribes to numerous databases, including the Educational Resource Information Center, ERIC, and Wilson Web Art Full Text. In addition the library subscribes to several visual databases including ARTstor and Museum Image Gallery. The library through professional memberships and subscriptions receives a number of scholarly art education journals including: Arts Education Policy Review, Education Week and NAEA News. Art Education, Arts and Activities, and School Arts are also available. The core strengths of the monograph collection continue to evolve based on the subject research, faculty request and curriculum.
The Galleries at Moore
With gallery spaces throughout the ground floor of Moore’s campus, the Galleries at Moore provide a forum for exploring current issues and ideas in art and design through a diverse range of innovative exhibitions, educational programs and publications offering insights into the work of established and emerging regional, national and international artists and designers. each gallery has a distinct programming direction and includes: the Goldie Paley Gallery, featuring solo and group exhibitions in a variety of media by national and international artists and designers; the levy Gallery for the arts in Philadelphia, highlighting the work of emerging and established talent based in Philadelphia. in addition, the Galleries present a schedule of rotating exhibitions featuring members of the Moore community, including annual alumnae, undergraduate and graduate student exhibitions and triennial faculty exhibitions.
Penny & Bob Fox Center for Digital Arts, Design & Print Media
The Penny & Bob Fox Center for Digital Arts, Design & Print Media provides access to state of the art digital technology and dedicated IT support to candidates in the graduate programs. Four MAC labs and two PC labs are fully equipped to meet professional technology and printing demands. Graduate students are granted year-round access to the Center, including a digital video lab with Final Cut Pro. Graduate lecture rooms, enhanced with SMART technology, afford candidates the latest educational tools available in the classroom. The entire College is wireless providing 24/7 wifi access while on campus. All Moore students are required to have or purchase a laptop computer.
