Art History majors may complete an internship in a variety of venues including art museums, art centers, commercial galleries, archives and libraries where the experience will serve to increase a student's knowledge of the history of art. Students may also explore opportunities working with corporate collections, at foundations, with municipal, state or federal offices dealing with arts and culture and as researchers for scholars in the field. International travel is encouraged as a part of learning the professional practices of art historians. In certain cases, a study abroad experience may qualify as an internship.
