Center Resources

There are many resources to you available at the Locks Career Center and online.

The Locks Career Center gathers information on internships, jobs, grants, residencies, exhibitions, competitions, craft shows, freelance and business opportunities, related employers and up-to-date information on the best professional practices in the fields of art and design.

Resources include:

  • Self-help publications specifically developed to meet the needs of Moore students and alumnae. Examples include résumé writing worksheets, questions to expect on interviews, survival skills for artists, cover letter formats and more.
  • Files on local, regional and national employers and the business of art, art education and galleries.
  • Books on starting your own business/entrepreneurial endeavors, job search preparation, self-help and art and design careers.
  • Bulletin boards and binders for vacant positions, grants, competitions, exhibitions, upcoming craft shows, fellowships, residencies, professional arts organizations, job fairs and career development issues.
  • “Careers In…” In-depth information on art and design careers in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, Art Administration/Galleries/Museums/Auction Houses, Arts Education, Art Therapy, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Photography, Digital Art and Entertainment fields.
