Knight Internship Fellowship Recipient 2009
My time at the Mutter museum has been fantastic. I spent my summer assisting the exhibitions coordinator in constructing a new space within an old gallery. I became familiar with the fabrication of walls, inset cases and archival processes therein. I enjoyed the physicality of the revitalization process.
On days when I was free to draw, study the body, sketch in the medicinal garden and research in the library, I spent time doing research for my thesis. I plan to focus much of the current semester on the sensory context of the body. This experience has been helpful for the direction of my thesis and to expand my career options.
My experience at the Mutter has been excitingly varied and intellectually stimulating.
