Moore Footsteps: 160th Alumnae Boots Exhibition

Moore Footsteps: 160th Alumnae Boots Exhibition
Friday, October 31st '08 – Saturday, May 30th '09

In honor of the 160th Anniversary of Moore College of Art & Design, alumnae are celebrating on a large scale. This summer, fourteen alumnae were commissioned to decorate twelve six-foot boots to mark the pathways and accomplishments made by School's gutsy graduates over 16 decades. The boots are as varied as the artists and designers who created them. Representing seven different disciplines and generations, the artists' boots are on view city-wide through May 2009. The indoor sculptures can be seen in such places as City Hall, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the Free Library and The Four Seasons Hotel. Moore Footsteps is sponsored by Fran Graham '66 and Bill Graham.

In celebration of the College's 160th Anniversary, fourteen alumnae artists have been commissioned to design 12 six-foot boots as part of a city-wide exhibition.
