LECTURE & PRESENTATION: REFLECTIONS ON MOORE'S MA IN ART EDUCATION

This lecture and presentation is an extension of a session presented by Lynne Horoschak and alumni Kim Gavin and Veronica Hicks at the NAEA (National Art Education Association) conference in March 2014.

Ms. Horoschak, the Penny & Bob Fox Distinguished Professor and Graduate Program Manager for Moore’s MA in Art Education with an Emphasis in Special Populations, will present “Reflections on Moore College of Art and Design’s Master’s Degree Program in Art Education with an Emphasis in Special Populations.”     

Ms. Gavin will describe how language, literacy skills and visual literacy in English language learners and students with disabilities can be enhanced in the art room.   

Ms. Hicks’ research will show how art education can raise the self-confidence of young women artists who have disabilities.
