  • Renaissance Society of America: chairing a session entitled, "Mannerism and Architecture," at the annual meeting of the Renaissance Society of America, Apr 1, 2016

  • Attended a conference in Rome at the Vatican in October, 2014 entitled: The Sistine Chapel: Twenty Years Later, New Breath New Light.

  • Published a book review in Seventeenth-Century News, Fall-Winter 2014

  • Received the Jewish Social Policy Action Network’s 2014 Social Justice Award in October, 2014

  • Will present a paper entitled “Correggio: ‘maniera moderna’ or Mannerism?” in a session entitled Mannerism and Maniera: Beauty and Spirituality at the College Art Association annual meetings, February 2015, NYC.

  • Will  chair a session entitled: Art, Music and Culture, at the annual meetings of Renaissance Society of America, March 2015, Berlin.

  • Maureen Pelta, Ph.D., and Alan M. Feldman, Esquire will be honored with the 10th Annual Social Justice Award of the Jewish Social Policy Action Network. The award will be presented on Monday, October 27 at the Independence Visitors Center in Philadelphia., 2014

  • Presented a paper entitled “Ioanna Placentia Erexit Novis Tectis: New Roofs for San Paolo,” and session chair, Back to the Future: Iconography’s Current Path, at the annual meetings of Renaissance Society of America, Mar. 27-29, 2014, NYC.

  • Will present a paper, "The Moon in All Her Aspects: Picturing Diana in Renaissance Art," and chair a session at the Sixteenth Century Studies Conference, Puerto Rico, October, 2013.
  • Attended this year's Venice Biennale with grant from the Dean's Visibility Fund, August, 2013.

  • HIAS Pennsylvania Golden Door Award, April 19, 2016
    Along with her sisters, Eleanor Pelta and Sylvia Pelta, the Pelta's will receive the HIAS Pennsylvania Golden Door Award, on April 19, 2016. According to the Executive Director of HIAS, Judith Baker-Bernstein, they are receiving this honor because their family exemplifies "the resilience and achievements of the survivors of the Holocaust and their families," and their "work in law, the arts and education are a testament to the diversity and success of immigrant in this city..."
