I was hired at Tommy Hilfiger as an Assistant Boys Designer right after graduation and relocated to New York City.
I was one of those students who strived to get as much experience as possible beyond the internship requirement. Within my time at Moore I had three internships all reflecting different areas of the fashion industry. The one that stood out to me the most was my time in Wisconsin at Lands End as a Boys Design Intern. I never thought that I would go into children's wear design, but shortly into the internship I realized that I loved children's wear -- the creativity, youth and expression that is conveyed in children's wear gives me the passion to design.
My advice to current and future Moore students is to try as many different paths within your major as possible, you will be surprised at how much you enjoy it.
