As an Art History major you may complete an internship in a variety of venues including art museums, art centers, commercial galleries, archives and libraries where you will gain experience and increase your knowledge of the history of art. You may also explore opportunities working with corporate collections, at foundations, with municipal, state or federal offices dealing with arts and culture, or as a research assistant .  International travel is encouraged as a part of learning the professional practices of art historians. In certain cases, a study abroad experience may qualify as an internship.
