During my internship at Thomas Mann Design, I was responsible for assisting Thomas Mann (at his jewelry design and production studio) and learning his techniques, as well as designing my own production line, and pricing my work according to his formula. With these responsibilities, I acquired much knowledge of how to run a business.
Tom shared a lot of his techniques with me and made sure to challenge me. These challenges made me a stronger person and gave me the boost I needed to enter my senior year at Moore.
This internship had a great impact on me. I had never traveled far from home on my own before. I got the chance to experience life (in New Orleans) alone in a new environment. It also motivated me to stay focused on my passion for designing and creating art.
