I believe the basis of making art is about asking questions. Questions lead to search, search leads to discovery and discovery leads to invention.
You have to change to grow. The way I paint now is the culmination of everything I’ve learned over time.
I work with students when they first arrive at Moore and get to know them like family.
The most rewarding thing as a teacher is watching a student who comes in with a sense of doubt about her abilities and talent gain confidence, grow and develop as an artist.
As a teacher, I think I have the best job in the world. I am helping to shape the artists of the 21st century.
