Department: Graduate Program Manager, MA in Art Education

I love coming full circle – graduating from Moore in 1966 and now teaching here.

Our undergrad and graduate students are motivated and unafraid to take risks. They are artists who can teach. I’m very proud of what they’ve accomplished, both in the classroom and the studio.

Teaching art for 36 years in the School District of Philadelphia affords me the privilege of passing on my experience as I prepare our future art teachers to educate our children. I love teaching art to children with disabilities. The graduate program has given me the opportunity to research and design curricula that will empower art teachers and all teachers to enrich the lives of children.

I’m excited to be part of designing a one-of-a-kind graduate program as we seek out best teaching and learning practices for children with special needs through art.
