For Immediate Release

(Philadelphia, PA) Moore is partnering with TerraCycle, one of the fastest-growing green companies in the world, on a campus-wide recycling initiative on April 21, in time for Earth Day.
TerraCycle converts trash into a wide variety of useful products and materials for major retailers. The company donated raw materials such as camping tents, packing materials and cutting room floor scraps to Moore students to repurpose in class for their own projects.
Moore alumna Lori Anselm '87, a textile design major and project designer at TerraCycle, is helping to coordinate the event.
Foundation students are making kites from the package materials and will fly them during an April 21 campus/community event on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Other classes will also display projects made from donated materials. A separate design competition will be held for students not participating in a class project who wish to use the materials to create art or functional design pieces.
