(Philadelphia, PA) Moore College of Art & Design is featured in the June, 2012 issue of US Airways magazine. The College is included in a 70-page section exploring Philadelphia’s dynamic arts and culture scene.

In the article, writer Martha-Page Althaus showcases Moore’s career-focused BFA, graduate and continuing education programs, required internships, the senior show and fashion shows and The Art Shop. Althaus also recognizes Moore as the first art and design college to give an iPad to all incoming undergrads this fall as part of an innovative Foundation curriculum.

Philadelphia is an international arts destination and Moore College of Art & Design plays a central role in the cultural and educational life of the city. The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Franklin Institute, the Rodin Museum and Free Library of Philadelphia are all located within artistic reach. This spring, Moore welcomed a new neighbor to the Parkway, The Barnes Foundation, adding yet another world of art to explore.

Moore College of Art & Design educates students for inspiring careers in art and design. Founded in 1848, Moore is the nation's first and only women's art college. Moore's career-focused environment and professionally active faculty form a dynamic community in the heart of Philadelphia's cultural district. The College offers nine Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees for women. A coeducational Graduate Studies program was launched in summer, 2009. In addition, Moore provides many valuable opportunities in the arts through The Galleries at Moore, a Continuing Education Certificate program for adults, the 91-year-old acclaimed Youth Art Program for girls and boys grades 1-12, The Art Shop and the Sculpture Park.
