(Philadelphia, PA) The June 12 weekend section of The Philadelphia Inquirer featured an article, “Landmark Show at Moore,” about the College's 5 Into 1 exhibition, highlighting the work of two Moore students as well as the curatorial efforts of Jennifer Willett. Willett, of Frederick MD, recently graduated magna cum laude with a curatorial studies degree and a double minor in Art History and Fine Arts. The College's newest major, and the only undergraduate program of its kind in the country, curatorial studies combines intensive examination of contemporary curatorial practice with in-depth studies in art history and substantial studio work.
As the first graduate of the College’s curatorial studies program, Willett curated the 5 Into 1 exhibit annually hosted by Moore and organized by Philadelphia Sculptors, featuring work by senior and graduate students at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Tyler School of Art, University of Pennsylvania, The University of the Arts, and Moore. The exhibit is on view through June 30 in the Wilson & Graham Galleries. Willett was recently elected to the College’s Board of Managers as a representative of the Class of 2009.
