2014 FASHION SHOW
Vincent Van Gogh. Franz Marc. Wassily Kandinsky. Paul Klee. These are just a few of the Expressionist artists that influenced student designs at this year's Spring Fashion Show, "Dress to Express," on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Aviator Park, across from Moore College of Art & Design, 20th Street and The Parkway.
The show featured innovative collections and designs by senior, junior and sophomore students of the College's acclaimed fashion department. This year's highly anticipated senior collections included childrenswear, menswear, swimwear, senior collections and the grand finale: eveningwear, for which the theme was "Dress to Express."
In keeping with the theme, seniors paid homage to Expressionist art. Expressionism is a term that embraces an early 20th century style of art, music and literature that is charged with an emotional and spiritual vision of the world. Expressionist art is characterized by heavy black lines that define forms, sharply contrasting, often vivid colors, and subjective or symbolic treatment of thematic material.
Moore's Fashion Design Department thanks our sponsors for their generous support.
