Moore has played a big role in my artistic development. With the scholarships and exhibition opportunities, I was able to find my niche and really come into my own as an artist. What excites and inspires me most is the challenge of taking interesting objects, whether trash, texture or seed pod, and transmuting them through molten silver or gold, into precious jewelry.
Today, I am a jeweler, fine artist, and owner of B Square Gallery in Philadelphia. I opened B Square Gallery in 2000 as a space to showcase all the talented people I know and respect, as well as my own work. It allows me to concentrate full-time on my art. There is, of course, always room for Moore in the gallery.
Supporting Moore has always been one of my priorities. I’m happy to serve as the President of the Alumnae Association and in the past, have taught in the Young Artists Workshop, Continuing Education program and an undergraduate Introduction to Metals course. I’m glad to do what I can to help guarantee that Moore continues to provide the finest education for women pursuing careers in the visual arts.
