I don't see Moore as a small school. I see it as just right. It's a respected college with a long, illustrious list of alumnae and a network of connections for graduates. Just look at the women it has turned into professional artists, those it has molded and shaped.

My time at Moore is part of what informs my work as a critic and writer. It was where I grew up and realized that I could be successful if I wanted to be. For the first time, I had real, practicing artists as mentors and teachers. That was a revelation. They treated us as equals. It was either sink or swim. It made me want to swim.
