Fashion Design with a Minor in Business and Textiles
Associate Designer at Abercrombie & Fitch
During my time at Moore College of Art & Design I was part of the Emerging Leaders in Arts Program (ELA). I am so thankful to have been a part of the ELA program. It helped me learn how to network, interview, and develop invaluable leadership skills that I still use to this day. ELA provided me with the skills to land two influential internships during my time at Moore.
In my Sophomore year I reached out to a Moore Alumna who had just started working at one of my favorite companies LL Bean. Through connecting with her and another Moore Alumna I was able to get an internship at L.L. Bean. This internship was a great opportunity for me to be exposed to fashion design in the corporate world, and to realize fashion design was the right career path for me.
During my Junior year Abercrombie & Fitch worked with the Career Center to recruit students for their internship program. I was chosen for their program and interned at Abercrombie & Fitch the summer after my Junior year. During my internship I worked on Mens Rugged Knits. This internship gave me a lot of responsibility and experience in the industry. After completing my internship I was offered an Associate Designer position at Abercrombie & Fitch.
I graduated Moore in 2012 and moved to Columbus Ohio to work at Abercrombie as an Associate Designer for Mens Woven Shirts. In 2015 I was promoted to Designer and moved to Mens Swim and Outerwear. I look back on my time at Moore and am grateful for all the knowledge and opportunities it offered me.
