Several Projects Begun and Completed During Winter Break

Several projects were begun or completed across campus during Winter Break. A dynamic new installation on the second floor of Wilson Hall was completed outside the Offices of Continuing Education and Graduate Studies – part of an ongoing campuswide visual branding project. Wilson Hall got a fresh coat of paint and in Fox Common you’ll find new sofas. Construction is underway on a new spray booth on the sixth floor of Sarah Peter Hall and new bench sofas in Fox Commons.

Returning students and faculty arriving on campus after Winter Break will notice building improvements and branding projects.  As part of an ongoing college-wide visual branding project, a dynamic new installation was completed outside the Offices of Continuing Education and Graduate Studies on the second floor of Wilson Hall!

Construction of a new spray booth is underway on the sixth floor of Sarah Peter Hall. The spray booth should be completed and ready for testing in March.  The Health and Safety Committee will be working on developing procedures for use and training once the construction has been completed.  The booth should be fully operational by the end of the spring semester.

The bench sofas in Fox Commons were replaced over break and much of Wilson Hall received a new coat of paint. The Dining Hall has a new electric warming plate for the serving line that will display the food in attractive new stainless steel vessels. SAGE has also launched their new Take 5 program that trains the staff on different safe food handling practices.

The College engaged a consulting firm to assist with an ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) level 2 energy study and a long-term facilities master plan. The consultants and engineers were here over break completing field work for the studies.
