Graduate Studies MFA in Interior Design’s 2014 Design Day was held on Saturday, February 22 at the Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Teams of 3 or 4 Moore students representing a cross section of all three years of graduate student levels were asked to help with enlivening the entrance rotunda, the reception desk and the Museum store, maintaining the museum’s old world quality and history while, at the same time, enhancing it for the 21st century visitor experience. Detailed programmatic requirements and drawings were provided and students recommended space planning solutions, furniture, millwork/cabinetry designs, some fabric suggestions, and paint colors. Presentations at 4:00 pm that day involved drawings, sketches, perspectives, and sample boards.
