Before this year’s Spring Fashion Show, catch a glimpse of Erica Garcia’s senior collection as part of Philadelphia Wedding’s bridal couture design contest and runway show, “Sew in Love”, on Wednesday, April 11 at Loews Philadelphia Hotel. The contest is open to students from top Philadelphia design schools. Her bridal collection, called "Timeless Elegance", is inspired by classic silhouettes and embellishments of the early 1900's that are still used in bridal today. The student with the most creatively designed bridal gown will receive the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to design and launch a young evening wear line for the prestigious Bridals by Danielle. Half of all proceeds from the event will benefit Wish Upon a Wedding.
Erica Garcia is a senior Fashion Design major and Business minor at Moore. She has been an active member of the Moore community as a Student Ambassador, Peer Tutor and member of the Student Government. Garcia has completed three internships while at Moore: Women's Wear Intern at Shehu, Philadelphia, Pa; Children's Wear Intern at Lands' End, Dodgeville, WI; and Stylist Intern at True Action Network (eBay), King of Prussia, Pa.
Be sure to see the 28 senior collections including Garcia’s at the Spring Fashion Show on Saturday, May 12 in Aviator Park!
