Moore's expanded international study program includes a new spring 2011 Studio elective with study in Mexico over Spring Break. Art and Ecology: Beyond Green, a studio elective course offered in the spring semester, includes six days of an intensive studio residency at La Ceiba, an interdisciplinary art center in Coatepec, Xalapa, Mexico during Spring Break.
Lead by Assistant Professor of Fine Art Alice Oh, Art and Ecology: Beyond Green is a three-credit course. During the semester, Oh will guide students in an in-depth, interdisciplinary exploration of contemporary art practices relating to the environment and sustainability.
Moore’s credit-bearing international study programs allow students to broaden their view of themselves and the world around them. In addition to international study and/or travel programs for credit through Moore, students can participate in a number of mobility programs including seven Canadian affiliates.
