LIVING AND LEARNING ON CAMPUS.
Residence life provides a convenient and collaborative environment where students from diverse majors, backgrounds and cultures can learn from one another and support each other as they advance through their college years.
Moore offers on-campus housing in two residence halls, Louise Stahl Residence Hall and Sartain Hall. Louise Stahl Residence Hall, located at 20th Street and The Parkway, houses women in suites of two bedrooms and a bath. All rooms are intended to be double occupancy. Sartain Hall, located at 2039 Cherry Street, contains single rooms and community bathroom facilities. On-campus housing is for the entire academic year and charges are payable in advance by the semester. All residence halls have 24-hour security coverage and may be accessed by students 24 hours a day when the halls are open.
Resident Assistants and Resident Directors can be found in both halls. Knowledgeable about the College and its resources, these experienced upper-class women are trained to help with students' day-to-day concerns, manage emergencies and serve as links to the Student Services staff.
HANG OUT BEFORE YOU HEAD HOME.
Several lounges are available for use by all students, even commuters. A student lounge is located in the Penthouse above the 5th floor in Stahl Hall, accessed by taking the elevator in Stahl Hall to the 5th floor and walking up the remaining flight of stairs. Lounge facilities include a kitchenette, televisions with cable hookup and study stations. Fox Commons in Wilson Hall is another common area open to all students. Students can use the lounge on the first floor of Sartain Hall, which has a pool table and cable television.
