RUTH ROBBINS, DEAN OF STUDENTS

Ruth started at Moore in 2000 as the Assistant Dean for Residence Life and Housing.  She has been Dean of Students since July 2011.  One of her principal roles is as an advocate for students, from chairing the Retention Committee—which looks at students’ evaluations of their Moore experience—to problem-solving with students that are experiencing personal and/or academic difficulties.  As Dean, Ruth serves as the advisor to the Student Government at Moore.  In addition, she oversees the Emerging Leaders in the Arts program, where over their four years at Moore students learn about leadership, teamwork and understanding themselves, volunteer in arts-related organizations, shadow professionals in the arts and, as seniors, form a support team as they launch themselves as young artists.
