Summer art & design institute 2015
JUNE 21 – JULY 18
Pre-College Residential Program Exclusively for High School Women.
Summer Art & Design Institute (SADI) is an exceptional pre-college, residential program of visual art study in a dynamic college of art and design enriched by the resources of Philadelphia.
SADI is for independent young women who are high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors seeking to expand their creative skills. Serious art students, including those with limited training, are invited to participate.
The opportunity to live, learn and socialize for four weeks with like-minded students and practicing artists and designers builds unexpected intellectual, visual, and practical capabilities applicable to any field of study and helps bring into focus long-term goals.
Faculty are practicing artists and college instructors dedicated to supporting our students. The low student to faculty ratio ensures that you will get the attention you need as you cultivate your vision, create your projects, and develop your portfolio.
- Earn three college credits
- Experience college life
- Meet other students who share your interests
- Study with professional artists and designers
- Learn about new careers possibilities
- Build your portfolio
- Meet with admissions counselors
- Participate in a final exhibition of student work
All SADI students are invited to participate in the Pre-College Portfolio Day held during the last week of the program. Recent high school or personal work may be included. In addition, all participants will receive an application fee waiver to Moore's BFA progam.
