MFA Studio Art

The small, focused size of the graduate program, the international residency in Ireland, and the degree to which they cater to experimentation are three of the many reasons that I chose to go to Moore for my MFA.

The faculty members with whom I have worked closely have greatly impacted my development as an artist, not just with learning to make stronger aesthetic editing choices, but also with streamlining my work itself with the ways in which I speak and write about it. I have truly refined my ability to fuse my aesthetic with my conceptual approach while at Moore -- something which I feel is absolutely essential for any emerging artist to discover.
The residency was a critical component in that; it functioned as it was meant to -- as a period in which I could reflect and immerse myself solely and wholly in my work without the distractions of any other aspect of life back at home. This period of time allowed me to realize what my work had been lacking while having the freedom to dive into a brand new medium and successfully approach it from a brand new standpoint.
I am absolutely thrilled to have recently begun a position with The West Collection, and I have networking through Moore to thank for that.
