Moore’s Certificate Programs concentrate on providing adults with an efficient way to move their career forward in a select group of especially rewarding design fields. They offer the opportunity to develop expertise in a specific professional area within a manageable time commitment.
A certificate from Moore College of Art & Design is a prestigious credential that helps you achieve your career goals. Certificate Programs offered are: Web Design, Digital Media for Print+Web, Motion Graphics Design, Interior Design Studies, Fashion Studies, and Fashion Merchandising.
Each program offers an efficient curriculum comprising an integrated and comprehensive sequence of eight courses that may be completed in one year, although there is no time limit. The development of personal aesthetic vision and creative problem solving are encouraged alongside of the development of technical proficiency.
Certificate students earn college credit which may apply to undergraduate degrees or be used to meet graduate degree prerequisite requirements. Certificate graduates are prepared to go forward in a creative and fulfilling career.
BECOME A CERTIFICATE STUDENT
The certificate path is ideal for someone seeking a structured program or a credential representing completion of a rigorous course of study from a prestigious professional college of art and design. To become a Certificate candidate, submit the Certificate Declaration Form. Certificate Declarations are accepted throughout the year and you may begin a program in any quarter.
ENROLLING AS A NON-CERTIFICATE STUDENT
All courses in Certificate Programs are open to non-certificate students who wish to take courses on an individual basis for credit or non-credit.
Moore is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design

Fast Track Programs
Students may earn a certificate in as little as one year, although there is no time limit for completion.
Students in digital classes logon at individual computer stations in Moore’s state-of-the-art Fox Center for Digital Arts, Design Media, & Printing with state-of-the art equipment and industry-utilized software. Labs are open to CE students with official IDs when not otherwise in use.
Certificate students receive lifetime assistance from the Locks Career Center whose professional staff offer coaching, resume/portfolio advising, and job search resources focused on artists and designers.
Certificate graduates are members of the Alumni Association sponsoring workshops, exhibitions, and other events that provide social and networking opportunities for area artists and designers.
Small class sizes mean individualized instruction and attention from outstanding professionals who are committed to meeting each student’s needs.
College credit is preferred by employee tuition reimbursement programs and may be transferable toward an undergraduate degree or used as prerequisite credits for a graduate degree program.
Act 48 Credit for Art Educators
All courses offer Pennsylvania certified art educators the option to earn Act 48 credits.
Independent Field Study
Certificate students may receive elective credit for self-guided work experience designed to make connections with the skills and knowledge gained in their area of concentration.
Students have easy access to Moore’s library, design studios, and digital media labs. The Center City Campus, just off Logan Square, is three blocks from Suburban Station. Discounted parking is one block away.
